Former colleagues reunite to create new law firm 1 December 2015

Progressive Cork Solicitors Fiona Foley & Co., from today has joined forces with the long established Cork Law Firm, Barry Turnbull & Co., to create a new mid-sized practice with seventeen staff including six very experienced Solicitors.

Fiona Foley, Managing Partner of the new firm Foley Turnbull Solicitors LLB, began her legal career more than twenty years ago under the mentorship of Val Turnbull at Barry Turnbull & Co. The two have united again and from the 1st of December 2015 will run the new Law Firm from state of the art offices at Joyce House, Barrack Square, Ballincollig, Co. Cork. Foley Turnbull Solicitors LLB will also have city centre offices at 32 Washington Street West, Cork.

Announcing the merger Fiona Foley said “I am very pleased to once again be working closely with the highly respected firm of Barry Turnbull & Co.  In the past five years notwithstanding the economic downturn, we have seen year on year growth averaging at 20%. Our client base has more than doubled and turnover has increased requiring our business to expand to meet demand.  It was an obvious choice to join forces with Val (Turnbull) who has almost 40 years experience and who has been a trusted colleague and friend since I began working with him soon after qualifying 20 years ago”

Mort Kelleher, former President of the Southern Law Association and highly experienced Solicitor specialising in Conveyancing and Property Law together with Mairead Moriarty will also play a leading role in the new firm.
